Our Mission: to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World.

I am glad that you are choosing to visit our website! Your reaching out to us in this way is so perfect, because this is a church that reaches out to people nearby and far.

Quinlan First United Methodist Church reaches out to people of all ages in our community as we partner with the Hunt County Kids, the Lake Area Shared Ministries, the Chamber of Commerce, and, through caring church members, we relate to the Raffa Clinic and CASA of Hunt County. Additionally, we enjoy hosting the Girl Scouts and the Cub Scouts as they meet at our church on a weekly basis. We also find mutual blessing on our campus with groups like AA, TOPS, Round Tuit, and others.   If you want to learn more about the work of these wonderful people or what all these letters stand for, just come and ask!

The ministries of our church reach out to people around the world and down the street as we make and send out special prayer quilts for folks who need a tangible reminder of the power of prayer and the warmth of God’s love. Our Ramp Crew has constructed nearly a mile’s worth of wheelchair ramps in the nearby community. This has expanded to reach out to other churches for partnership ministries.

We reach inward, not only outward! We provide opportunities for growing spiritually by means of worship on Sundays and other times, Bible Studies, Sunday School, and a prayer circle. During the year we have activities for people of all ages Vacation Bible School, youth Work Camps, music for young people, and regular meetings of the United Methodist Women and the United Methodist Men.

We are a blessed part of the United Methodist Church denomination that relates directly with the North Texas Conference and the East District. We live, eat, breathe, teach, and preach the truth that “God is love” and that God loves you and everyone else, too.

As you read this and as you click through this site, may you feel God’s Spirit of Life and Love reach out to you!
