Thank you for checking in on the Quinlan First United Methodist Church web site. Below is a brief biographical sketch of my education and work across North Texas I arrived at Quinlan FUMC in July 2018. Some things immediately impressed me. This church is deeply committed and connected to the surrounding community. Folk in the congregation are founding supporters of Lake Cities Shared Ministries and Hunt County Kids. Both organizations are pivotal social service organizations in this part of Hunt County. Church members are still heavily involved in the leadership of these two organizations. Church members have an extensive prayer quilt ministry delivering several quilts weekly to those in need of support. They have been delivered close to home and through out the world. Several other churches have given birth to similar ministries because of the work. Many wheel chair ramps have been constructed across Hunt county by the membership of this church. There are several Bible study opportunities and Sunday morning classes that provide fellowship and spiritual formation. “Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world” is the official vision statement of The United Methodist Church and here at Quinlan FUMC we take that to heart. We relate to the North Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church. Go there to learn more about how we are in ministry to the North Texas region and beyond. I hope you will consider attending one of our services of worship at 8:30 or 10:30 AM on Sundays!
